The short version
- Glass Carriers is free to play and made for all ages. Have fun, and please don't cheat or hack it.
- Coins and outfits are part of the game. They have no real-money value and live only on your device.
- Remove Ads is bought through Apple or Google; refunds follow their rules. Younger players need a parent to buy it.
- Online co-op is for playing with people you know, using a room code.
- The game is provided as it is. We work hard on it, but we can't promise it will never break.
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Glass Carriers, the independent team that makes the game ("we", "us"). They apply when you download, install or play the Glass Carriers game, or use this website. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled and is part of these terms. The terms of the store you downloaded the game from also apply.
Who can play
Glass Carriers is made for players of all ages. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please read these terms with a parent or guardian. They agree to the terms for you and are responsible for any purchase made on your device.
The game asks your age when it first starts, so it can treat younger players' data with extra care. The Privacy Policy explains what changes.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Glass Carriers on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. The game is licensed, not sold.
Making videos and streams of your play is welcome, including monetised ones. Please don't present them as official Glass Carriers content.
Coins and outfits
The game includes in-game coins, tips, hats, clothes and outfits ("virtual items"). You earn coins by playing and unlock outfits by watching optional rewarded ads.
- Virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money or anything outside the game, and cannot be sold or transferred.
- Your progress and virtual items are stored only on your device. If you delete the game, reset your device or lose it, they are gone, and we have no way to restore them.
- We may rebalance prices, rewards and how items are unlocked in future updates.
Purchases
Glass Carriers offers one optional in-game purchase, Remove Ads. It permanently turns off the full-screen ads that play between levels on the store account you bought it with. Rewarded ads stay available so you can still choose to watch them for bonuses.
- Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms. The price is shown in the store before you pay.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We can't issue refunds directly.
- If you reinstall or change device, use Shop → Restore to get Remove Ads back on the same store account.
- Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Ads
The game is funded by ads served through Unity LevelPlay and its ad networks. We don't create or control the content of individual ads and aren't responsible for products or sites they advertise. Your choices about personalised ads are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Online co-op
Online play connects two devices through Unity's servers using a room code you share yourself. There is no matchmaking with strangers and no chat.
- Share room codes only with people you want to play with.
- Online play needs an internet connection and depends on Unity's services, so it may sometimes be slow or unavailable.
- We may change, limit or end online features at any time, for example if a service we rely on changes.
Fair play
When using the game, you agree not to:
- cheat, edit save files, or use bots, mods or tools that change how the game works;
- copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the game, except where the law expressly allows it;
- interfere with online play, the ad or purchase systems, or other players' devices;
- use the game for anything unlawful.
If you break these rules we may stop supporting your use of online features or end your licence.
Our content
The game, its name and logo, code, characters, music, sound and website belong to us or are used under licence. Buildings, vehicles and props are built from CC0 (public domain) models by Kenney (kenney.nl). Everything not expressly licensed to you is reserved.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
Changes to the game
We update the game to add levels, fix bugs and improve it. Updates may change or remove features. We may also stop offering the game. If we do, the copy already on your device keeps working offline for as long as your device supports it, though online play and ads may stop.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the game and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted play, or freedom from bugs. Some countries don't allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost progress, data or virtual items. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the game is limited to the amount you paid for Remove Ads in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Apple App Store
If you downloaded the game from the Apple App Store, these extra terms apply:
- These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the game and its content.
- Your licence is limited to using the game on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the game.
- If the game fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation to the extent the law allows.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the game, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and claims that the game infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Law and disputes
Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems are quicker to fix by talking, and we will try to sort it out within 30 days.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the game gains new features. We will change the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, say so in the game or on the store listing. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the new terms.
